EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based, highly effective type of therapy that can greatly change the way we view and experience our past, our present, and the world around us.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR therapy works in a unique way by incorporating the the body, mind and emotions to help the brain “unlearn” stuck reactions and beliefs caused by distressing events in our lives. Following successful EMDR therapy, many clients experience a sense of relief, clarity and peace – as well as the ability to react differently to situations in the future that may have previously been quite triggering. We have seen positive results for our Denver women clientele. What is EMDR?
Put simply, if you find something from your past continually showing up and messing up your present (such as relationships, family life, self-esteem, mood or career effectiveness) , EMDR therapy can help put your past squarely in the past — thus setting you free from being so negatively impacted from previous life events. Here at Root, we absolutely LOVE EMDR counseling and use it often, because of its incredible ability to heal and change our lives and relationships for the better. We’ve seen it work time and time again, and would love to help you experience the joy of putting your past where it belongs – in the past!
With love and light,
